Global industry extracts trillions of litres of water each day using current technology, consuming enormous amounts of energy in the process. Aquafortus is an emerging technology company poised to disrupt the industry and is at the forefront of research, development, and deployment of high recovery industrial water remediation technologies.


We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role will be part of the engineering team and will be responsible for developing and installing electrical and control systems on process rigs and plants. This is primarily an office and workshop-based role, based out of our Airport Oaks facility.

The Electrical Engineer will have accountability for electrical design, specification, development, assembly, and testing in areas of process and mechanical engineering for the purpose of advancing the company's technology and commercial success. You must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in a relevant field of engineering.
  • 3+ years' industrial electrical and automation work experience.
  • Experience with LV/LT power distribution systems.
  • Experience with process/machinery automated control systems and motor drive systems.
  • Experience with electrical CAD and electrical regulations.
  • Hands-on building, assembly, and testing experience.
  • Experience in developing high-quality technical documents, functional descriptions, equipment manuals, and electrical schematics.
  • An R&D application focus, strong commercial acumen, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written English and oral communication skills for preparation and presentation of reports.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a propensity to learn.
