We are currently looking for an Analytical Chemist to join our Chemistry team. The Analytical Chemist is primarily responsible for all analytical instruments within the laboratory for the purpose of advancing the company's technological and commercial success. The Analytical Chemist works alongside the Research and Development Chemists to develop new methods for the analytical instruments to aid research experiments as well as for the quantification of any new chemical developments.

This is primarily a lab-based role accountable for ensuring quality control within the laboratory, method development & improvement, maintenance of laboratory equipment, instrument procurement, instrument troubleshooting, and instrument knowledge transfer. The Analytical Chemist reports to the Chief Technical Officer and the relevant Team Leader.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters in Chemistry with 4+ years' experience as an Analytical Chemist.
  • Experience in method development for analytical instruments and the ability to write protocols and methods for teammates to follow.
  • Ability to follow chemistry methods.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Team player with a positive attitude that can put the team ahead of self-interest.
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Competent in Microsoft office suite.
  • Good time management and organisation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English for the preparation and presentation of reports.
