Aquafortus is an innovative technology company poised to disrupt the industry and is at the forefront of research, development, and deployment of high-recovery industrial water remediation technologies. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is primarily responsible for the design and development of the mechanical elements of the technology. The Mechanical Engineer will have accountability for design, development & assembly in areas of process and mechanical engineering for the purpose of advancing the company's technology and commercial success. This is a hands-on role, and you must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues. This is primarily an office and workshop-based role, based out of our Airport Oaks facility. You will also be required to travel nationally and internationally to client sites for extended periods of time.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidates will have:

  • A university degree in the field of mechanical engineering
  • A minimum of two years' relevant work experience
  • 1+ year design & mechanical engineering experience
  • Experience with CAD, FEA & CFD (Solidworks or similar CAD package preferred)
  • Experience with machining & fabrication processes
  • Hands-on building, assembly & testing experience
  • Experience in producing reports, drawings, and design proposals
  • An R&D application focus, with strong commercial acumen and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written English and oral communication skills for the preparation and presentation of reports
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a propensity to learn
